Football NSW is pleased to announce the launch of a new calendar of football tournaments called the Sydney Invitational Cup.

The Sydney Invitational Cup will provide the opportunity for the best Australian and international teams to compete at Football NSW’s home of football, Valentine Sports Park.

Football NSW CEO Stuart Hodge was looking forward to seeing the introduction of the Sydney Invitational Cup take centre stage on the football calendar.

“There is a healthy appetite for our game and a desire by many of our participants to play as much football as possible.

“Responding to both this demand and many requests for us to develop and conduct officially sanctioned holiday events, Football NSW is pleased to launch The Sydney Invitational Cup which we hope will grow in stature to rival many other tournaments around the world.

“In time, and as national and international borders open up and flight travel resumes, I am sure the Sydney Invitational Cup will attract hundreds and eventually thousands of players to Sydney each year to participate in an event that will cater for various ages, and both male and female players of all levels.

“This first event in the April School Holidays will be just a teaser with bigger and more inclusive events to follow, all under the banner of The Sydney Invitational Cup, presented by Football NSW.”
